Nos volvemos a levantar pronto, esto empieza a ser un poco cansado... al menos hoy conduce Silvia hasta Las Vegas, asi que puedo descansar un poco, hacer algunas fotos y disfrutar del paisaje.
Paramos de nuevo en la gasolinera de los indios, ya que la gasolina era bastante economica. No es que en los Estados Unidos sea cara, pero como los precios no estan regulados, como ya hemos dicho dias atras, te puedes encontrar de todo, y el primo ya lo hicimos yendo a Big Sur...
No tener que conducir es relajante, e incluso mas en estas carreteras, tan faciles de conducir que puedes incluso disfrutar del paisaje.
Llegamos a Las Vegas bastante pronto, al menos en comparacion al primer dia que llegamos aqui, hoy son a penas pasadas las 12 del mediodia y ya estamos aqui. Nos vamos al hotel, esta vez el Stratosphere, que tiene la torre mas alta de la ciudad, desde donde hay las mejores vistas.
Hacemos el check-in, esta vez bastante mas rapidoq eu en el Venetian, y como nuestra habitacion no estaa aun disponible, pues nos dan otra en un piso mas arriba, asique incluso desde nuestra habitacion tendremos buenas vistas, esta vez el piso 17.
La suite no es tan lujosa como la del Venetian, pero por otro lado, el baño, es mucho mas grande e incluso tiene jacuzzi...
Deshacemos las maletas y nos vamos a comer algo. Hay un restaurante muy chulo años 50 en la planta baja del hotel, asi que vamos a probar que tal. Ademas de buena comida, nos ofrecen un maravilloso espectaculo, las camareras, aparte de servir, de vez en cuando se ponen a cantar, muy ambientado en los años 50.
Tras la comida, subimos la la torre, tenemos entrada libre por ser huespedes del hotel, asique podemos subir cuantas veces queramos, por lo que decidimos que es un buen momento subir ahora y de nuevo esta noche cuando se este poniendo el sol, para poder disfrutar de la puesta del sol. Es increible como puedes sentir la aceleracion del ascensor, 21 millas por hora. Las vistas son magnificas, se puede observar como la ciudad esta construida en el medio del desierto, nada mas alreadedor...
Algunas personas estan montando en las atracciones que hay en el ultimo piso de la torre, una inyeccion de adrenalina, a gran altitud, sobre la ciudad, pero no estoy tan chalado! Ni de coña
Despues de la experiencia, vamos a hacer unas cuantas compras, a ver mas hoteles, algun outlet, el hard rock cafe, la tienda exclusiva de la coca cola y demas... Casi no tenemos tiempo de mas, nos estamos quedando sin tiempo para llegar a la puesta de sol, tenemos que prepararnos apra subir a la torre, por fortuna no tenemos que comprar los billetes, ya los tenemos...
Cuando estamos para subir a la torre, nos dicen que con el tripode no se sube, capullos! Asi que Silvia se va a dejar el tripode a la habitacion, mientras que yo subo y me pongo a hacer fotos con su camara y la mia. Despues de un rato, llega Silvia, y vamos al piso de mas arriba para hacer unas ultimas fotos. Es bonito, pero sin un tripode es bastante dificil hacer buenas fotos, no hay luz suficiente.
Despues de esto, aun nos queda algo de dinero del otro dia para gastar en el Casino del Venetian, asi que para alla que nos vamos, visto que tambien esta mas en el medio del Strip y es mas facil acceder a pie al resto de hoteles desde alli. Nos vamos a cenar al Grand Lux Cafe, dentro del Venetian, y tras esto, nos vamos al casino a divertirnos un rato, el tiempo vuela, y estamos alli varias horas. Silvia tuvo incluso la suerte de haber ganado algo, pero al final quedo en nada, al menos no perdio nada.
Tras haber jugado al casino, dimos un pequeño paseo, y despues cogimos el coche de nuevo en direccion a nuestro hotel, pero antes de ir a dormir, fui fuera a hacer alguna foto de la torre iluminada de noche, y del casino. En cualquier caso, es increible como es posible que una ciudad asi sea tan segura, hay policia y guardias por todos lados. Se comprende que sea as, tan solo con pensar cuanta pasta llevara la gente en el bolsillo.
Es hora de dormir, mañana, nos levantaremos con mas calma, pensamos salir de Las Vegas a eso de mediodia, ir a Los Angeles y hacer un ultima visita a nuestros amigos de Pasadena.

We leave again early, this begins to be tiring... at least today Silvia is going to drive until Las Vegas and I can rest a bit, do some pictures and enjoy the landscape
We stop again at the petrol station ruled by indians, the petrol was quite cheap there. It is not that petrol is expensive, butt as told in a post before, it is not regulated, so you can be lucky or not... better not to risk, we already made the mistake going to Big Sur...
Not having to drive is quite relaxing, and even more on these roads, which are quite easy to drive, so that it can be enjoyed the landscape.
We arrive to Las Vegas quite soon, at least in comparison to the first day we came to Vegas, today is barely noon and we are here. We head to our hotel, this time the stratosphere, which hosts the highest tower in the city, from where nice views of the city are seen.
We do check-in, this time faster than at Venetian, and as our room wasn't ready yet, we get a higher floor, this time at 17th floor, from where we can have nice sightseeing as well.
The suite is not as luxury as in Venetian, but on the other hand, the bathroom is bigger and nicer, we even have jacuzzi...
We unpack and go to have some lunch. There is a nice 50's restaurant in our hotel, so we give it a try, and apart from having good lunch, we discover that it is a show as well, the waitress and rest of staff, from time to time, start singing while the customers enjoy their meals, very nice 50's environment.
After lunch, we go up the tower, we have free entrance as we are guests of the hotel, we can go as much as we want to, so we decide to go now that is still daylight, and then we will go in the evening to see the sunset from up there... The lifts run up 21mph, you can feel the acceleration, it is nice. The views are nice, and it can be seen how the city is in the middle of the desert, nothign else around, some small mountain, and nothing else...
Some people are using the attractions on the upper deck, a boost of adrenaline, at high altitude above the city and riding some attractions on the top of the tower... I am not that crazy! No way
Later on, we go to visit some souvenir shops, more hotels, some outlet, hard rock cafe, coca cola shop, and so on... We barely have time for something else, we are running out time to the sunset, we have to be ready to get up the tower, luckily we do not have to buy the tickets, we have them already...
We try to get up the tower, but they do not let us up with the tripod, bastards! So Silvia goes back to Room to leave it and comes back, in the meantime I am up the tower doing some pics with my camera and Silvia's. Later on Silvia comes, and we go up to the upper level, outside to do the final shots. It is nice, but without tripod a bit fustrating, even changing ISO it is hard to get the right conditions for a good shot.
Later we go down and as we still have some money to spend on Venetian Casino, we go there, as it is much more in the middle of Las Vegas and it is as well easier to go walking to the rest of hotels. We go to dinner to Grand Lux Cafe inside Venetian, then we hit the casino, time really flies and we spend seeral hours there, Silvia even had good fun and she was lucky she did not loose any money.
After having gambled, we made a small walk down the street, before taking back the car from Parking to go to our hotel and go to sleep, but before that, I went out to do some pics of the tower by night and some more of the stratosphere casino. It is amazing how safe this city seems to be, police and guards everywhere. It is understandable, taking into account how much money can have people in the pockets while walking down the streets.
Now it is time to go to bed, even if tomorrow we will take it easier, we plan to leave around noon, and arrive to L.A. and pay again a visit to my friends in Pasadena.
