We woke up quite late for our standards during this hols, after 9.30am!!! Hopefully we had bought some coffee and muffins to have breakfast in our suite in peace.
After having such a nice breakfast, we got ready to do check-out, we took the car and we went to Bellagio Hotel and Casino for Parking, it is really handy that almost all Hotels have a free parking, so you can move easily from one to another.
We visited the Mile Shopping centre, amazing place, and we did some last shopping before leaving Las Vegas.
In our way to Los Angeles, Silvia drove again until Pasadena, but in the meanwhile, we stopped at Primm, right on the border between Nevada and California, as it is known that Petrol is cheaper in Nevada, so we did fuel and bought some stuff to have lunch during the journey.
We arrived to Pasadena around 6pm, we could see with our own eyes a big wall of smoke coming from the mountains. We had heard about the fires on the mountains, but we did not know it was so close... We could even smell it!!!
We spent some hours in Pasadena, we had dinner with our friends, and Josete's wife, Yolanda, cooked for us really tasty quesadillas, and then we left as Josete was leaving to play at a local bar in Long Beach. Pity we did not make it to see him playing, it will be next time!!!
While driving to Santa Barbara, we saw, thanks to the dark the huge fire, I could not resist to stop the car and from there do some shots, it was really a big one.
The trip to Santa Barbara, was a couple of hours, we did not expect as many cars as we found on the freeway, and as we were tired, it was much more complicated, people overtaking form left, from right... Well, anyway we made it safely.
We arrived to Santa Barbara after 11pm, and we were chatting a bit with Chris and Mel, telling a bit stories about the week we had spent in Vegas and Grand Canyon, and then planning the next morning as we had to clean our room, make space and so on, as they were moving the weekend.
