Nos levantamos cansados, y un poco tarde, a eso de las 10am, asi que nada de playa, pero el dia era incluso un poco raro, y la primera vez desde hace meses que se pone a llover¡¡¡ Increible pero cierto... Desayunamos algo ligero y decidimos ir a SEARS y comprar algo. Un sitio realmente economico, jeans muy baratos, tshirts, buenos precios por cosas que en europa cuestan algo asi como 3 veces mas.

Tras este centro comercial, vamos a state street, en el centro de Santa Barbara, y hacemos algo de compras y echamos un vistazo por el centro.Silvia y Melinda se paran en todas las tiendas, pero intentamos no comprar mucho, ya que tenemos demasiadas cosas ya, pero siempre se encuentra algo...

Paramos a comer una hamburguesa, la mejor que hemos comido en los estados unidos.

Vamos hasta otro cerntro comercial y tras esto, vamos hasta la UCSB (Universidad de California Santa Barbara), donde trabaja Chris, vemos el edificio donde trabaja, buen lugar para currar, y lo mejor, que esta a 200m de la playa.. Como es posible trabajar en un sitio asi? Y despues dicen del JRC... Joder!!!

Vamos a echar un ojo a una de las playas de alrededor, vamos hasta el muelle, andamos sobre el y vamos hasta el final, a ver la cantidad de gente que esta pescando, metemos los pies en las frias aguas del pacifico, realmente frias, ahora entiendo, aparte del las condiciones meteorologicas, incluso para ser agosto, el porque se ve tan poca gente en las playas, e incluso menos dentro del agua.

Tras un paseo, vamos a casa, Chris quiere descansar un poco, pero nosotros tenemos aun ganas de dar una vuelta por el centro, tiendas, las calles, y finalmente, tenemos que ir a hacer algo de compra al supermercado para la cena, ya que el domingo vamos a ir a hacer picnic y tambien queremos hacer algo de cena italiana y española.

El resto de la noche, cuando estabamos ya en casa, la pasamos bebiendo vino blanco mientras cocinabamos, se tardo un poco, pero merecio la pena la espera. Tuvimos unos excelentes spaghetti carbonara, hechos por Silvia y una tortilla española (hicimos un par de ellas mas para el picnic del dia despues).

We wake up tired, and a bit late, around 10am, so no beach today, the day is a bit dodgy as well, and since some months, it is raining!!! Incredible but true... We have a fresh breakfast, and we decide to go to SEARS and have a look and buy something. Really cheap place, jeans for nothing, tshirts, cool prices of things which in europe cost 3 times more.

After this mall, we go to state street, in the Santa Barbara downtown, and we go shopping and going around to see the centre. Silvia and Melinda stop at every shop, we try not to buy to much stuff as already have lots, but there is always something... 

We stop at some place to have a hamburger, one of the best we had in the states.

We go to have a look to another shopping mall and then we head as well to the UCSB (University California Santa Barbara), where Chris works, we see where his building is, nice place by the way, and the most impressive thing, that the building is 200m form the beach... How can you work in a place like this? And then we say about the JRC.. Jeeeez!!!

We go to have a look to one of the beaches, we go to the pier, and walk on it till the end and see how many people are there fishing, we feel the cold of the waters of pacific, really cold ones, now I understand, apart form the temperature conditions, even in august, why so few people are there and even less inside the water.

After a walk, we decide to go home, Chris wants to rest a bit, but we still decide we need to have a better look to Santa Barbara downtown, shops, people, streets, and finally, we have to go to do a bit shopping for the dinner, as on sunday we are going to go for a picnic and we want to do some italian and spanish cuisine for tonight's dinner.

The rest of the evening, when already home, we spent it drinking white wine while cooking, it took a bit of time, but it was worth waiting for it. We had nice spaghetti Carbonara, cooked by Silvia and a spanish omelette by me (cooked a couple more for the picnic the day after).
